Information we use
When you sign in, we collect your email address, verification and session records, acceptance of our terms, saved brand and event lists, and basic account timestamps. We use this information to provide accounts, save your work, protect access, and answer support requests.
For subscribers, we retain payment-provider customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status, billing event identifiers, and relevant payment-dispute information. Stripe handles card details on its hosted checkout and billing pages; DTC Signals does not collect or store your full card number.
DTC AI
When you submit a question, we send the conversation context you submit and relevant public research evidence to OpenAI. Do not include sensitive personal information, private customer records, or secrets. We do not store chat text in our application database. We retain request timestamps, account identifiers, status, token counts, and cost information to enforce allowances and operate the service.
We request disabled response storage through the API. This does not remove OpenAI's applicable security and abuse-monitoring retention. See OpenAI's API data controls. Conversations shown in the app are held in the current page and are cleared when the page reloads or you start a new conversation.
Providers and security
Cloudflare hosts the service, database, email delivery, and bot verification. Verification may process technical signals including IP address and browser information. Read the Cloudflare Privacy Policy and Turnstile Privacy Addendum. We use keyed, hashed identifiers for application rate limiting rather than retaining raw IP addresses in the account database. Infrastructure providers may process connection and security logs.
Stripe processes payment information under its Privacy Policy. Support and account emails are handled by our email providers. Providers may process information outside your country.
Cookies and browser storage
Essential secure cookies keep you signed in and bind email-code verification to your browser. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days; codes expire after 10 minutes. Theme and commentary-view preferences are saved in your browser. We do not use advertising trackers or sell personal information.
Retention and choices
We keep your account and saved preferences while your account is active. Expired sign-in records and rate-limit counters are cleaned up regularly. AI request metadata is retained for up to 90 days, with a short cleanup interval. Billing and support records may be retained as needed for accounting, disputes, security, and legal obligations.
Contact support@dtcsignals.com to request access, correction, or deletion of account information. We verify that you control the account before acting. You can sign out of the current browser or all devices through Account. Cancel any subscription through Manage billing before requesting deletion to stop future renewals.
Updates
Material changes will be identified on this page with a new effective date. This service is intended for adults using it for business research.
